The majority of strains developed by seed companies are selected and grown at low altitude. Strains from low lying areas don’t respond brilliantly to high altitudes. Among all the strains of Cannabis developed by the seed companies, we don’t find strains selected for growing at altitude. Since there is a demand for such strains, DP has developed two “altitude” strains: Pamir Gold and SnowBud. These two strains are adapted to lofty heights of the Alps, the Pyrenees, the Sierra Nevada, the Caucasus and other mountainous regions of the world. SnowBud is a hybrid with Afghani and South African genetics. Like Pamir Gold, the work of selecting this strain was done in the Swiss Alps. SnowBud (60% Sat./ 40% Ind.) has a spiced flavour and smell with hints of cinnamon and skunk, a very smooth smoke and a medium high. Healthy plants can reach 1.8 and 2.2 metres outdoors. Resistant to mould and mildew. Yield: above average. It’s also successful indoors. The narre SnowBud refers to the heavy covering of white pistils on the female flowers (buds). Feminised.
