Heyy there, I am worried about my first grow and the humidity… made a veg room and flower room in my basement ( used to be an old cold cellar)… brick walls and floor, covered with mylar. My problem is I started vegging in the flower room and have noticed extremely high humidity in the room btwn 65% (normal outside humidity) and 90% (hurricane humidity).. plants are vegging nicely, but I know for flowering, humidity should be in the 50’s (to prevent bud rot)and was wondering if the humidity will be lessened in the fall months with normal weather (open windows),and air conditioning ducts dipping water in the room turned off or will I need to dole out $$ for dehumidifier? Seems logical that if the windows are open and outside humidity low and air is turned off that will lower humidity substantially… Does anyone have any experience with basement growing and humidity? Plan to clone in two weeks…P.S. Temp never really exceeds 73f…so that is good.
