Fast Bud autoflower. Need advice on how much longer.

I know that I can look at the trichome color. But I am not at the stage of major trich production yet. I am just curious as to how long I should expect. A rough estimate. Here is my setup:
I have 2×2 gallon pots filled with dirt. This is a rubbermaid grow made from 2×30 gallon totes. In the top I have 2×4 inch personal fans blowing out with 3 passive intake holes in the bottom. Above one plant I have 6×23 watt 6500k CFL bulbs in a light strip/Y socket arrangement. The other has the same (6×23 watt 6500k CFL) but I also have a 42 watt 6500k CFL in a clip on light with a metal reflector I got at the hardware store that is pointed at the side of the plant.
The one plant without the extra light is a very stunted growth. When it was young ~2 weeks I was away for the weekend and somehow one of the lights fell and burnt the 2 leaves pretty bad. It pretty much had a hard time growing after that. Also, the leaves are really broad, thick, and appear leathery. I think it was a combo of the burnt leaves and bad genetics. The other plant is a champ. I LST’d it and have 2-3 pretty decent primary stems. There are bud spots all over the place.
Back to my question. The white hairs are starting to slowly turn brown from the tops. The bud spots are starting to get a little thicker and she is drinking a gallon of water every other day. I haven’t seen a lot of major trichome production and the buds don’t look like the pictures (swollen, trichs, red/brown hairs). So I know there is more time to go. They advertise 8 weeks until harvest. But I have read many people range anywhere from 8-10 weeks. Right now I am about at week 7.5. Any idea how much longer I can expect? I am not familiar with the life cycle from white hairs to swollen buds. I do know to try to harvest when there are about 60% amber trichs. But, I have no idea what stage I am approximately in. Any help experts?
